What is a CPM and why is it used?
Continuous Passive Motion is a post-operative therapy that moves a joint passively through a prescribed range of motion for a prescribed period of time. While passive motion is a common therapy modality, continuous passive motion requires a device to attain the continuous motion requirements needed to gain the benefits of CPM.
